Update (1/14/2013): The maintenance kit was installed this afternoon.
I've asked Janet G. to call RK Black and have Tim install a maintenance kit in the public printer. The message is simply a reminder; the printer will continue to print normally while the message is displayed.

CQ Researcher
If you or a patron attempt to use CQ Researcher, you will find that we are getting a screen that reads:
"Log-In Failure Your subscription has expired."
Our subscription has not expired, so I've contacted our Ebsco representative about the problem. She was to contact the publisher today and will let me know as soon as service is restored.

AccessPharmacy is now available
AccessPharmacy is now on the library's Pharmacy page.
The key feature of AccessPharmacy is the full text of a number of core pharmacy textbooks. AccessPharmacy also contains a lot of other valuable content, such as drug monographs, multimedia presentations, case studies, care plans, diagnostic medical test information, dosage calculators, etc.
This is likely to be a very popular resource, so I recommend trying it out between now and the start of the Fall semester.

Online Forms Cutting Off Text/Info
This problem is becoming more frequent and it originates from our new website template. With the addition of a frame at the bottom of the page (i.e., containing social media info), it will cut off the text/info of a webpage if a user is viewing the text in a large text size. If someone has this issue, direct them to change the text size by going to their browser menu and reducing the size to medium or small. Jon W. is working on solving this problem.
====================
This is usually a problem only when the patron is both zooming the text on the page and using an obsolete browser (typically Internet Explorer 6/7 or pre-3.0 versions of Firefox). Either reducing the text zoom or upgrading/switching to a modern browser will fix the problem.
BTW, when I've helped patrons with this problem, they typically report problems using other web sites too due to the decrepitude of their browser. If you can encourage them to upgrade to a modern browser, you're going to greatly improve their experience of the web.

APA Styles Worksheet
Students are bringing in the "APA Styles Worksheet". Our Director has printed a list of APA journal Titles. He was checked and underlined the titles that are actually on the shelf. The list is on the Ref Desk. We need to leave it on the ref desk until the assignment is finished. At that time I will find a place for it among the leaves of the quick facts accordion.
