Stedman's Online Medical Dictionary

I've added a link to the handy Stedman's Online Medical Dictionary the Dictionaries page and the Pharmacy page (and it'll be on the Nursing page soon).

(We also have the paper Stedmans in Reference, call no. R 610.3 St315s 2000. The print version includes illustrations and medical terminology guides that aren't in the online version.)

EBSCOhost MEDLINE with Full Text

The links to EBSCOhost MEDLINE on the library's web pages for pharmacy and nursing have been updated to link to the new MEDLINE with Full Text. This version of MEDLINE includes full text for 1,200+ journals.

Patrons who wish to search MEDLINE through Ovid, PubMed, or FirstSearch still have that option. However, these versions of MEDLINE are primarily indexes which contain very little full text in comparison to EBSCOhost's MEDLINE with Full Text.

Encyclopedia Britannica replaces Encyclopedia Americana

As of 1/22/08, Encyclopedia Britannica has replaced Encyclopedia Americana on the Encyclopedias web page.

Curriculum Information Online

For curriculum reference questions there is an area on my website that contains useful curriculum information. If you go to my website, there is a quick link to the curriculum section in the bottom right hand corner. You can also get to the curriculum section by clicking the "acquisitions" link and then clicking "curriculum."

Included on the curriculum page is a general overview about the curriculum collection including links to the Oklahoma State Department of Education website. There is also a section containing the specific subject area call numbers. In addition, there is a section including a list of all the titles we have in a specific subject area (including call numbers). In this section, there are some subject areas that do not yet have this list.

If you think of any other helpful information that could be added or if you have any problems navigating the site please let me know.
